GoFarm in Golden is 501C3 co-op providing locally sourced produce.  Eileen will give us an overview of GoFarm's mission and its impact on the local food system, economy and communities in Jefferson County. Eileen O’Rourke is Founder and CEO of GoFarm, a nonprofit organization headquarters in Golden whose mission is to increase the supply of and access to more affordable fresh, healthy local food in the state of Colorado.  Eileen grew up on a homestead farm in rural Pennsylvania in the 1970’s and experienced the rapid demise of small family farms as large farming enterprises took over the markets. Watching valuable farmland converted to residential and industrial developments with severe consequences to local resources and the loss of community inspired her to pursue a career in environmental consulting.  She founded GoFarm when she combined her life experience, passions and decades of assessing the impact of land use on natural resources.
